ABOUT CO2 AI

CO2 AI helps some of the world's largest companies understand and cut their environmental footprint. We deliver that value in two ways: through our platform, which runs product level carbon footprints at scale and models decarbonisation levers, and through the industrial applied AI use cases we deliver alongside it. What our clients are after is not a dashboard, it is outcomes: decisions taken, levers activated, emissions actually coming down.

We spun out of BCG in 2023. We are 45 people based in Paris, with teammates in the US and the UK, and our working language is English.

As a Applied AI & Sustainability Consultant Intern at CO2 AI, you will support our team of Value Consultants as they help leading organizations translate their sustainability ambitions into measurable business value. You will get hands-on exposure to real client projects, learning how strategy, data, and the CO2 AI platform come together to turn sustainability goals into tangible outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (AND WHY IT MATTERS)

• Support client conversations by helping understand sustainability goals, challenges, and key priorities

• Assist in analyzing data using CO2 AI’s platform to identify carbon reduction opportunities and sustainability insights

• Help shape and deliver applied AI use cases with clients, from framing the problem to having a tool they can use, and learn how AI actually gets adopted inside a sustainability function

• Help prepare materials for client meetings, workshops, and presentations (slides, summaries, insights)

• Contribute to tracking and documenting client progress during onboarding and implementation phases

• Work with Value Consultants, Solution Architects, and data teams to support onboarding and data-related tasks

• Participate in internal discussions and learn about sustainability topics, carbon accounting, and industry best practices

• Build prototypes, agents and internal tools using generative AI, for clients and for the team

• Analyse the carbon footprint of real industrial value chains to understand where emissions sit

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters degree in Business Administration, Sustainability or a related field

• Ideally at least 6 months of prior professional experience (internship, apprenticeship/alternance, or other relevant work experience)

• Strong analytical mindset and interest in working with data and structured problem-solving

• Good communication skills and ability to synthesize information clearly

• Interest in sustainability and climate topics

• Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint

• Familiarity with AI agents and building dashboards

• Fluency in English required

WHERE YOU WILL BE BASED

Role based in central Paris with in office presence. This is a full-time, 6-month internship, starting January 2027.
